Why Carleton University?
Carleton University is among Canada's top 5 universities, top 10 for graduate employment, and top 10 universities in Canada for computer science, mathematics and engineering.
On campus, Carleton teaches students the skills they need to achieve their goals, and beyond it, students are challenged to progress in various real-world situations by using their skills and what they have learned.
Several specialised institutes of Carleton University, including the Arthur Kroeger College of Public Affairs, the Carleton School of Journalism, the School of Public Policy and Administration and the Sprott School of Business, are highly regarded in their fields.
The university's strengths include journalism, public affairs, international affairs, architecture and high technology.
The sports teams of Carleton University compete in the U Sports league as the Carleton Ravens. The Carleton Ravens are known nationally for their men's basketball team, which won seven consecutive Canadian national championships between 2006 and 2017, as well as 14 championships in 16 seasons since 2003.
Carleton's graduates include 6 Rhodes Scholars, 29 Fellows of the Royal Society, 20 recipients of the Order of Canada, 8 winners of the Banting Postdoctoral Fellowship and 3 recipients of the national Killam Prize.
During their studies, the university's students can benefit from the interdisciplinary, active and hands-on approach to teaching and research carried out by its faculty members, and from the countless partnerships the university has with the federal government, other universities and private-sector partners.
