About Humber College
Humber College was founded in 1967 in the city of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It has three campuses named North, Lakeshore and Orangevillage.
The college issues admissions to immigrants in more than 180 fields of study at various levels, namely diploma, bachelor's and master's. It also admits students from more than 138 countries, with about 6500 international students making up part of its total capacity.
Some of the programmes offered at Humber College are designed with practical work, which is also a way of earning an income. Other students can also, when applying for admission, apply for employment at some of the campuses, including jobs related to computer labs, teaching, residence, the library, sports halls, tours and the campus administrative offices.
Why Humber College?
Humber College ranks sixth among Canada's public colleges in terms of student numbers and size, second in terms of educational quality, and sixth on the list of Canada's top 50 research colleges.
It is Canada's largest polytechnic in technical and engineering fields and also has the most students in management programmes.
Humber College has 20 sports teams and more than 50 student clubs. From the very beginning of the college's founding, Humber joined the Canadian colleges' athletic association, the OCAA, and over more than half a century of activity it has won more than 500 valuable medals.
By taking part in co-op programmes, depending on the field they study, students can collaborate with business owners and faculty members on applied research projects and add Canadian work experience to their resume alongside their university degree.
In this respect, it is one of the best colleges in Canada for study immigration as well as for obtaining permanent residence.
